Bonidan, Cathy
Biography
Cathy Bonidan wrote her first novel when she was 14 years old and has never stopped since. She filled her cupboards with manuscripts that she never showed anyone. Once she had children, she started writing early in the morning, before anyone else was awake… the kids didn’t have a clue! In “real life” she’s a teacher in Vannes (Brittany).
One day, on a whim, she posted one of her texts on an amateur writers’ site, monbestseller.com. She had no idea that it would lead to her first literary prize, and introduce her to the woman who would become her editor. Her first novel, Le Parfum de l’hellébore (The Scent of Hellebore, 2017), won 13 literary awards. Rights to her books have been sold in 11 countries.
