Biography

Born in 1961, Jacques Saussey is a French author who started writing short stories when he was 27. With over a dozen novels under his belt, he is now seen as a major new voice in French crime fiction. In 2016, his thriller Le Loup peint received the Saint-Maur Paperback Prize. De sinistre mémoire, his second novel, won the 2018 Challans High School Pupils Crime Fiction Prize. In 2019, Enfermé.e got the Crime Fiction Discovery Prize from the “Petits Mots des Libraires” website for bookstore owners.
