Original title: La fabrique des petits Bonheurs

Synopsis

When the mayor of Bourgis asks Alice, who’s just received a language and literature degree, to put her skills to the service of those who have “fallen between the cracks” by teaching a writing workshop, she is confused. Especially because he expects her to hold it in a dilapidated room in the back of an old candy factory.

But that’s where she will meet a happy band of colorful characters! There’s Moïse and his contagious optimism, Romeo, who’s touchingly clumsy, Ginette, who goes by Marilyn and has a thirst for love and a disarming frankness, and Camille, the florist-poet.

Together, will they manage to forge their own path of small pleasures and transform their lives?

These ordinary heroes teach us, each in their own way, to travel, dream, laugh, and love.

With The Factory of Small Pleasures, Danièle Fosette gives us a touching modern fairy tale full of mischief.
