Fossette, Danièle

Biography

Danièle Fossette was born in northern France on the Opal Coast. Very early, the ocean called her to travel. Fascinated by islands, she spent several years in Madagascar, Mayotte, Martinique, and Tenerife. A reporter, writing teacher, and travel writer, she has published over thirty books, mainly for children. Her books have been translated into several languages and some have won the Prix Sorcières. The first person who encouraged her to write was sing-er-songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman. The Factory of Small Pleasures is her first novel for adults.
