Synopsis

(Le Rouergue)

Lieutenant Dapper is one of those men whom people expect to be knowledgeable about evil. After all these years, he must surely have become an expert on the subject. But despite having seen the very worst of human nature, when the mutilated body of a teenager is found near to a makeshift refugee camp whose inhabitants survive through prostitution, he takes the case exceedingly personally. Like one of those great tragic heroes, he resolves to do everything in his power to ensure that the boy receives a decent burial. But to do so, he will first need to solve a mystery left hanging after the death of the monstrous serial killer Bauman. This will involve getting to the bottom of a mafia organ-trafficking network and gaining access to a casino in the North Sea which is guarded like a citadel.
