Biography

Daniela Raimondi was born in Italy and in 1980 moved to England where she graduated and obtained a Master in Spanish and Latin American Studies at King's College, University of London. She now lives in Sardinia. She is the winner of numerous Italian national prizes for both poetry and prose. Some of her poems have been translated and published in English, Hungarian, Spanish, Lithuanian and Serbo-Croatian. Her work has appeared in numerous Italian and foreign literary magazines. She is member of the jury for several literary prizes. She was selected as the Italian representative in the Poetic International Tournament in Maribor, Slovenia (2012), where she obtained the Public Prize. She is the author of eight books of poetry in Italian which have obtained considerable recognition. One of her collections won the Mario Luzi prize. An anthology of her poems in English has been published in New York (Gradiva Editions, 2013), with translations by Irish poet Anamaría Crowe Serrano. In 2020 her novel "La prima Nebbia d'Autunno" will be published by: Casa Editrice Nord, Milan.
