Biography

Born in 1975, Marie Hélène Poitras received the Anne-Hébert Award for her first novel Soudain le Minotaure (Suddenly the Minotaur, DC Books, translated by Patricia Claxton). La mort de mignonne et autres histories (2005) was short-listed for the Quebec Booksellers Award. In 2009, she published Rock & Rose, a novel in serial form for 11 to 17 year-olds. In another life, Marie Hélène Poitras is a music critic for Voir magazine and an editor for Zone d’écriture, Radio-Canada’s web zone dedicated to contemporary literature.
