Biography
Born in Strasbourg, Jack Koch was an elementary-school teacher before devoting himself to illustration. His first picture books were compilations of the drawings about school that he used to hang in the teachers’ room. His is a dreamy world of poetry and tenderness with a dash of humor; those fleeting moments when we are aware of time passing and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
