Duquesnoy, Isabelle

Isabelle Duquesnoy is an art restorer and a writer. She divides her time between Lower Normandy and Corsica. She is the author of Pâqueline, L’Embaumeur (“The Embalmer,” La Martinière, 2017), and Confessions de Constance Mozart (Points). After Pâqueline, anyone who didn’t know her son Victor will want to dash right out and read The Embalmer, winner of the Saint-Maur Paperback Prize and the City of Bayeux Prize, to continue to explore Isabelle Duquesnoy’s world and her unexpected style, in which the morbid and the incongruous fuel both humor and emotion.
