How does a villain work?

What would become a movie without its villain? A bad movie according to Jérémie Gallen, creator of the YouTube channel “Va te faire suivre”. If these villains fascinate us so much, it might be because they embody a part of our personality… The darkest part, and they are therefore the symbol of our most imperfect humanity.

Voldemort, Darth Vador, the Evil Queen… Are they not the real stars of Harry Potter, Star Wars or Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? No matter how frightening, they spark our empathy and make the hero of the saga shine! They allow us to realize what our education encourages us to reject: our anger, our violence and our urges.
