Jean-Marc Rochette was keen on mountaineering from a very young age, and was planning to be a mountain guide when he grew up. But a serious accident during a climb reshaped his dreams.

He became a painter, a sculptor and a world-renowned author of graphic novels. His most recent best-sellers are set in the region where he spent his childhood and that is so dear to his  heart, a remote valley in the Écrins mountain range. That is where he lives, draws, writes and has woven a carnal bond with sublime, untamable nature.
