Original title: La bambina sputafuoco

Synopsis

Martina/Mina is an 11 year-old girl from a small village in Piedmont. She used to live with her mum, dad, 7-year-old sister Olivia, a decrepit cat and several imaginary horses. But now her new home is a pediatric hospital in Turin, as she was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. At first Mina is too tired and confused to make friends, but then Lorenzo storms inside the ward. He is Mina’s age, furious and rebellious. Together the two kids manage to let their rage and fear get loose and use their imagination as a magic weapon, a dragon, a sword. They even dare to try to escape from the hospital. Mina gets better and can go home more and more often. Lorenzo, on the contrary, receives a bone marrow transplant and yet his conditions keep deteriorating. To say goodbye, Mina needs to trick everybody and embark on another adventure.
