The same people who had developed this software, not without adding to their wealth in the process, announced that their product could wipe us all out, and called for a moratorium on research. The techno-oligarchs are child kings who have been allowed to seize power, and who are now playing messiah to feed the shock and awe and maintain control over a tool which, contrary to what they claim, cannot bring about the end of time, but is a real threat to civil society and our freedoms.
