Synopsis

With her dark skin and snow-white hair, Elyz-Ana looks like the ShaƫlFaars, those legendary beings who are said to be able to hold their own against Isidis, the powerful celestial goddess who rules over Sandremonde. When the Church hears of this strange child, it resolves to capture her. With her pursuers on her heels, Elyz-Ana finds refuge in the Guild of Hired Assassins in Atabeg, growing up in the fault line that divides this province. There she meets a mysterious dark knight who tells her the story of the Saudahyds, his own people who once lived to the north of the Monts de Sombodor but were exterminated by the Angels of Isidis a thousand years ago. Elyz-Ana realises that she too is a Saudahyd, but does not yet know that she is the prodigal daughter destined to lead her people back from the land of the dead. Ahead of her lies a redemptive voyage of self-discovery.
