Synopsis
At age 40, Ilyas isn’t looking for Miss Right. He’s looking for a one-stand night. He loves going out, he loves dancing, he loves women, and above all, he loves his mother, who he wants to “save.” But in just one night, his life will be turned upside down.
Ilyas, 40, is a Kabyle who’s constantly being taken for an Arab, because he “looks Arab.” He teaches an Israeli martial art, krav maga, during the week, and on weekends, he goes clubbing. Because he loves women. He loves picking them up, but he respects women and is convinced they are infinitely better people than men. Especially since his opinion of men has been lowered by the man he calls his “sperm donor.” He worships his mother and would like to “save” her. Wherever he does, he dances and sings snatches of songs in his head. They come to him all the time, he’s a regular encyclopedia of popular French music. One night, in a club where he’s a regular, Ilyas meets Elodie. She has a stunning butt. She also happens to be a cop in Paris’s drug squad. Elodie takes Ilyas home, where she rolls joint after joint and they both drink a lot. Things don’t end well, and Ilyas comes to in his freezing-cold car at dawn. He doesn’t remember a thing.
