Her name is Enriqueta. Her life changed on August 18, 1936, when in a matter of minutes, she and her children were forced to flee the family home in Irún, threatened by Franco’s regime. Enriqueta lost everything : her country, her house, her daily life… Her granddaughter, Léonor, was born French, far from the original tragedy, and her grandmother would be nothing more than an austere figure she briefly encountered.

Almost a century later, in 2022, when a Spanish law allowed the descendants of political exiles to obtain their lost nationality, Léonor decided to take steps. Becoming Franco-Spanish made her question her lineage. What did she receive, what did she want to transmit herself Why turn over and over on a land filled with ghosts?
