Synopsis

Martin is a ranger in the Pyrenees national park where he is monitoring the last of the bears. But for a year and a half now, there has been no sign of Cannellito, the only plantigrade with a trace of Pyrenean blood left in these forests – there were no footprints in the winter and not a single hair on the hundreds of trees examined. With each passing day, Martin is ever more certain that hunters have killed the animal for its hide. Is not the history of man one of massacring wild fauna? So when he comes across a photo of a young woman standing in front of a dead lion with a hunting bow in her hand, he resolves to find her and make an example of her in the media. But all he has to go on is her pseudonym on social media: Leg Holas.

This manhunt for the hunter of wild beasts will take him through the Aspe and Ossau valleys of the snowy Pyrenees to the desert of Kaokoland in Namibia. It is a cruel odyssey where no hunter can be sure of bagging their prey…
