Veladiano, Mariapia


Mariapia Veladiano was born in Vicenza in 1960. She studied Philosophy and Theology and has worked as a teacher. She is now a full-time writer. Her first novel, La vita accanto (Einaudi Stile Libero), won the Premio Calvino 2010, was runner-up for the Premio Strega 2011, and has been translated into French and English. She has since published more books including the novels Il tempo รจ un dio breve (Einaudi Stile Libero, 2012), Una storia quasi perfetta (Guanda, 2016) and Lei (Guanda, 2017).
