Biography

Jean Vautrin defines himself as "a popular writer." Awarded the 1989 Prix ​​Goncourt for Un grand pas vers le bon Dieu, he is the author of an abundant and much-praised oeuvre including Billy-ze-Kick, La vie Ripolin, the Aventures de Boro series with Dan Franck, and Le Cri du peuple, adapted into a comic strip by Jacques Tardi. He received the Feuille d’Or of the City of Nancy for his complete oeuvre.
