Pierre Varrod was born in Lyon. He is a graduate of the EM-Lyon management school and holds a Master’s degree in economics.
He was first HR Director of the Lejaby-Rasurel-Well group, then worked in sales and marketing at L’Oréal and Nathan, before becoming General Manager of Dictionaries Le Robert.
Pierre Varrod has also taught in schools of journalism and business schools.
He is the author of several articles in the humanities (psychoanalysis of an advertisement, then of works by Houellebecq, analyses of the work of Albert Cohen, etc.) in the magazines Le Débat, Esprit, Communication et Langages, Cahiers Albert Cohen. He is also the author of works of demanding popularization: l’Atlas de géopolitique culturel du Robert, Freud chez Les Grecs (Editions de l’Opportun).
Retired for 3 years, he now coaches and takes part in the professional training of general management regarding the challenges of the digital transformation of companies.
