Biography
Fabien Truong is a sociologist, lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Paris-8. and member of the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton). His research focuses essentially on youth from working-class and immigrant neighborhoods. He is the author of Des capuches et des hommes (Buchet-Chastel, 2013), Jeunesses françaises (La Découverte, 2015) and Loyautés radicales (La Découverte, 2017), and the co-director, with Mathieu Vadepied, of a documentary, Les défricheurs ( 2019). He also co-edits La Découverte’s “L’Envers des faits” serie with Paul Pasquali.
