Biography

After an outstanding literary début L’iguane (The Boy Who Belonged to the Sea, France-Québec Prize, Anne-Hébert Prize, Odyssée Prize, winner of Radio Canada’s Book Battle and Hervé Foulon Prize), Denis Thériault found success with Le facteur émotif (The Peculiar Life of a Lonely Postman, Canada-Japan Prize) and, more recently, La fiancée du facteur (The Postman’s Fiancée).

Translated into nearly two dozen languages, popular in England and Germany, his work is currently being adapted for both film and television. His most recent novel, The Samurai of the Red Carnation, was published with Leméac Editeur in Canada in April 2022.
