Doctor of history, French Liberation specialist, and former scientific director of the Memorial Museum of Caen, Stéphane Simmonet is known for writing a biography of Commander Kieffer (Tallandier, 2012) and an illustrated novel on the 177 French fusiliers of D-Day (Tallandier, 2019).
