Rouaud, Jean
Biography
Jean Rouaud made his mark with his first novel, Les Champs d’honneur (Minuit), which won the Goncourt Prize in 1990. He continued his family and autobiographical cycle through four books published by Minuit and the five-book La Vie poétique cycle, published by Gallimard (Comment gagner sa vie honnêtement, 2011), then by Grasset (Kiosque, 2019). He is the author of more than thirty works, including, with Grasset, La Splendeur escamotée de frère Cheval ou le Secret des grottes ornées (2018), La Constellation Rimbaud (2021), Qui terre a, guerre a (2022), Comédie d’automne (2023), and with Gallimard, Flamboiement de la métaphore (2024). At Seghers, Juge de Montaigne was published in 2022.
