Biography
Jean-Marc Rochette grew up in Grenoble, then lived for a time in both Paris and Berlin before moving back to Étages, in Isère. His best-selling graphic novels include Le Transperceneige (Snowpiercer) (Casterman, 1984) which was made into a movie by Bong Joon-ho in 2013, Ailefroide (Coldwing) (2018), Le Loup (The Wolf) (2019) and La Dernière Reine (The Last Queen) (2022). He is also a painter and a sculptor.
