Marilù Oliva was born in Bologna. She is a writer, essayist, and professor of literature. Her crime detection novels investigate the dark sides of our society and the most exposed categories which she defines as "unprotected." Her latest projects are: Le spose sepolte (2018) and Musica sull'abisso (2019), published by HarperCollins Italia. In 2019 the author co-edited an anthology for Zanichelli on Promessi Sposi. She collaborates with several magazines and is the editor-in-chief of the literary blog Libroguerriero. His most recent book is L'Odissea raccontata da Penelope, Circe, Calipso e le altre (Solferino 2020).
