Biography

Mohamed Mbougar Sarr is currently one of the most inventive and admired writers on the African literary scene. Born in Senegal in 1990, he has published three novels that have been translated into several different languages: Terre ceinte (2015, Ahmadou-Kourouma Prize and the Biracial Novel Grand Prize), Silence du chœur (2017, World Literature Prize – Étonnants Voyageurs 2018) and De purs hommes (Philippe Rey/Jimsaan, 2018).
