Sylvie Lindeperg is a professor of Cinematic History at the University of Paris 1, and a documentary filmmaker. Her research focuses on the connections between cinema, memory, and history, particularly regarding World War II. Her books include Les Écrans de l’ombre. La Seconde Guerre mondiale dans le cinéma français (1944-1969) (Dark Screens : WWII in French Film (Points, 2014); Nuit et Brouillard. Un film dans l’histoire (Night and Fog: A Film in History, Odile Jacob, 2007). She also co-edited Le Moment Eichmann with Annette Wieviorka (Albin Michel, 2016) about the 1961 trial of the architect of the extermination of European Jews.
