Biography
Michel Hazanavicius is a French film director, screenwriter, editor, and producer. He is best known for his 2011 film The Artist, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture. It also won him the Academy Award for Best Director. His latest movie, La plus précieuse des marchandises (The Most Precious Cargo), an animated film, was released in France in November 2024. He is an ambassador for United 24, a charitable organization for which he organized a benefit auction of one-of-a-kind film-related items.
