Giusti, Stéphane
Biography
An author and director for cinema and television, Stéphane Giusti made his directorial debut with The Man I Love, produced and broadcast by Arte. This was followed by Why Not Me? (Best Feature Film at the Seattle Queer Film Festival, Audience and Jury Award at the Miami Gay and Lesbian Film Festival), Bella Ciao and Made in Italy. The Red Jew is Stéphane Giusti’s first novel. A total novel—epic, political, philosophical, poetic, sentimental, and fantastical—that invites a stark look at the history of Jews and Europe in the 20th century. It is also a book of peace, with deeply current resonances, relentlessly questioning the timeless phenomenon of antisemitism and denouncing the vicious circle of violence.
