Galais, Basile
Biography
Born in Nouméa in 1995, Basile Galais grew up in New Caledonia. He left the island to study in mainland France, initially at the fine arts college in Biarritz and later in Nantes, where he studied painting, and then in Le Havre, where he focused on creative writing. These days he lives on his sailing boat in the little port of Nouméa. Les Sables is his first novel.
