Fortier, Mark
Biography
Mark Fortier is a sociologist. He was a journalist for a time, then taught at Université du
Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and Université Laval. He is currently an editor at Lux Éditeur. In
2021, he won the Governor General’s Literary Award for his essay Du diesel dans les veines
written with Serge Bouchard. Since 2022, he has been a columnist and member of the
editorial board of the magazine Lettres Québécoises.
