Paul Colize is a Belgian crime novelist, born in Brussels. He is the author of fifteen novels including Back Up (La Manufacture de Livres, Folio), translated in English (Oneworld 2018), German (Nautilus) and Czech and was shortlisted for the Victor Rossel Prix and won the Prix Saint-Maur en Poche. He has contributed to Akashic Books’ noir series Brussels Noir. His awards include the Landernau Prize, the Polars Pourpre Prize, Boulevard Prize for Fantasy, Arsène Lupin Prize, and the Plume de Cristal Prize. His last novel, The violence of mankind (Toute la violence des hommes) received the Michel Lebrun Prize and the Reader’s Prize from Villeneuve-lez-Avignon Festival. He lives in Waterloo, Belgium.
