Biography
Marion Chaygneaud-Dupuy was born in Dordogne (France) in 1980. When she was 18, she went to India to enter a Buddhist monastery where she studied meditation for four years. Having become a mountain guide in Tibet, she accompanies nomadic populations’ educational or financial-autonomy projects. She is the first European woman to have climbed Everest three times. She was the impetus behind “Clean Everest,” an annual clean-up operation. She has been living in Lhassa for over 20 years.
