Biography
Andrea Cavalletti was born in 1967 and lives in Bologna. He teaches History of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Verona. He writes for the supplement “Alias” of the newspaper “il manifesto”. Among his essays: La città biopolitica. Mitologie della sicurezza (Bruno Mondadori, 2005), Classe (Bollati Boringhieri, 2009), Suggestione. Potenza e limiti del fascino politico (Bollati Boringhieri, 2011) and Vertigine. La tentazione dell’identità (Bollati Boringhieri, 2019). He has edited several works by Furio Jesi, the essay by Chaim Nachman Bialik Halachah e Aggadah. Sulla legge ebraica (Bollati Boringhieri, 2006) and, for Neri Pozza, the volume by Sergio Bettini, Venezia. Nascita di una città (2006). His works are translated into five languages.
