Biography

Emmanuel Bourdieu, son of the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, was born in Paris in 1965. Philosopher, playwright, screenplay writer and director, he has worked with Arnaud Desplechin, Denis Podalydès and Éric Rochant, among others. He has made seven feature films, including Vert Paradise, Les Amitiés maléfiques (Prix de la Critique at the Cannes Festival) and Louis-Ferdinand Céline. Je suis le dernier is his debut novel.
