Bizien, Jean-Luc

Biography

Jean-Luc Bizien was born in Phnom Penh in 1963. He studied English and taught for fifteen years to children with difficulties. In 2001, he left the French National Education System to devote himself to writing. A member of the Ligue de l’Imaginaire, he has received numerous awards, including the Gérardmer Fantastic’Arts Prize, the Adventure Novel Prize, the Lion Noir Prize, and the Sang d’encre de Vienne Prize. He now lives in Southern Corsica. The works he is most proud of are Elric and Adriel, his two sons, published in 1990 and 2005 respectively.
