Berger, Clémentine
Biography
From a very young age, Clémentine Berger has loved telling herself stories, which she wrote down in notebooks. As a teenager, she read and wrote countless romance beginnings on Skyblog before fully committing to writing in 2019. She then created an Instagram account (@creatricedunroman) to share her passion. Shortly after, she undertook a complete rewrite of one of her unfinished stories (a contemporary double romance).
In January 2023, as she found herself stuck on that project, she began writing So That Summer May Last Forever following a troubling dream she had several nights in a row. The first draft was completed in less than three months, and the opening chapters were read by more than 10,000 people on the Fyctia platform during a contest. The gentle, sunny tone of So That Summer May Last Forever won over many readers.
This novel helped her get back on track with her first project, which she was also able to complete. It was a breath of fresh air for her—and, according to early feedback, for readers as well.
