Biography
Born in 1952 in Algeria to a Tunisian father and an Italian mother, Jeanne Benameur arrived in France with her family at the age of five. Today she lives between Crete and La Rochelle. Novels, poetry, theatre – the work of Jeanne Benameur unfolds and is part of a relationship with the world and with human beings who love freedom and accuracy. Her latest novel, La Patience des traces (Actes Sud, 2022) was awarded the Ouest prize and the France Télévisions Roman prize the same year.
