Biography
Of her maternal grandfather George Théodorovitch Sapounoff, born in 1899 in Kursk, Russia, Elisabeth Barillé has only photo left which was taken in front of the family dacha before the 1917 Revolution.
Her debut CORPS DE JEUNE FILLE, published by Gallimard in 1986 when Elisabeth was barely 20 years old, made a big impact on the literary world.
With a plume that is as rich as it is harsh, she reveals the adventures and misadventures of a young brunette with a famous writer. This bold, cruel, and lucid text was much-discussed.
