The winner of the Prix du Gouverneur général du Canada for Le Ravissement and of the Prix Ringuet for Mirror Lake (adapted for the cinema in 2013), Andrée A. Michaud continues to create a highly personal body of work, which has been attracting critical acclaim ever since her debut novel. Her detective novel Lazy Bird, set to the soundtrack of jazz standards, was published by Le Seuil’s Point Noir collection in 2010. Bondrée won also the 2017 Quais du Polar Readers’ Prize. It is the first time in 12 years that the prize is awarded to a woman.
