Synopsis

An epic new series from the multi-award winning collaborations of Ram V, Evan Cagle, Anand Radhakrishnan with Tom Muller, Aditya Bidikar and more.

Deicidium is set in a future world that survived wars and catastrophes for humanity to emerge into a new era of stability, this time, controlled by a marriage between new religions and corporations. Worship is currency, faith is power.

Welcome to the industry of belief.

Our story begins with an incident that breaks this stability. Old powers once more return to the world. Gods of fire, wind, volcanoes, jaguars– gods of mischief, of stories, of love and war begin to appear once again. But they do so by manifesting through everyday people. Through people like you and me.

With their established hierarchies threatened, the powers that control humanity decide their course of action will be to find these newly made gods and kill them, leading to an epic conflict spanning years of story. A conflict of control v/s freedom. Of the idea that those who can save us live above us v/s the idea that those we love and admire will come, as they once did, from within us.

GODS V/S GODKILLERS

We start with BHAIRAV, a lowly metal-worker in what used to be south-east asia as he starts turning into The God of Destruction (Based off of Shiva).

Twin brothers in erstwhile Siberia – one of them anointed to be a child-emperor. But it is the other brother, MIKI who starts turning into a Volcano God.

ARIA in erstwhile Central America – is the leader of a gang of graverobbers but she starts turning into a Death God (modelled after Mictlan).

A mysterious old man known only as “THE PROFESSOR” – could in fact be the old God of Wisdom Thoth.

SIDIAN – a young boy in what used to be Alaska – starts turning into a vessel for gods older than man. The Eldritch entities – cosmic / lovecraftian.

The great faiths of the new world knew the gods could one day return. And they planned for such an eventuality.

12 orphans are chosen. 12 bestowed with gifts. 12 forged in fire and pain.

Taught to be faithless, loveless. Instruments without reward nor remorse.

The gods have returned and the 12 will be unleashed. But humans, more so than gods, have a way of upending the best laid plans.
