Biography
Christophe Goret (b. 1972), known as Kris, has been a comic book writer for a quarter of a century. He first studied history and then became a bookseller. Attracted by historical and social themes, in 2006, with Étienne Davodeau as illustrator, he created Un homme est mort (Futuropolis), which propelled him into the ranks of comic book writers. This was followed by other notable series and albums such as Notremère la guerre (with Maël, Futuropolis), Un maillot pour l’Algérie (with Galic and Rey, Dupuis), Violette Morris (with Galic and Rey, Futuropolis), and Partitions irlandaises (with Vincent Bailly, Futuropolis). In 2018, he won the Jacques Lob Prize for best scriptwriter for his entire body of work.
