Discours, Magali
Biography
Born on Corsica, Magali Discours grew up on the Mediterranean coast. From her childhood spent in Provence, she has retained a strong taste for singing accents and an innate sense of comedy.
After studying literature, languages, and history, she obtained a Master 2 in comparative literature. She teaches Italian at a high school in Burgundy. A novelist and short story writer, she has published four novels with L’Archipel and won several literary awards for her first novel and short stories. Here she presents a sensitive novel that vibrates with the passions that animate her: travel, history, art, heritage, and Italy.
Thanks to Palermo, I believe in the magic of doors that open, intoxicating scents, delicious flavors, hands that reach out, and hearts that respond. Palermo has won me over every time I visit. Alone or accompanied by my students, my colleagues, my son, my daughter, my sister, my love, my friends… I keep going back. The desire to return to Palermo continues to resonate within me.
