On friendship, treason, terrorism, migration and life in this modern age.
After a fight with his father, 15-year old Simon decides to spend the summer at his uncle’s house in the Parisian banlieue. He meets Youssef, an Algerian boy who is drawn to adventure. The two become inseparable in no time. Together they roam the city’s roofs, increasingly higher, in search for a feeling of freedom. But when Simon incidentally discovers Youssef’s biggest secret, their friendship is put to the test. The boys quickly drift apart, which prompts a series of events that will prove fatal to themselves and to many others.
