Ex-resistance fighter and concentration camp survivor, diplomat and peace campaigner, the Franco-German Stéphane Hessel is the author of several works including the surprise best seller Time for Outrage (Indignez-vous!) which has sold over four million copies and has been translated into more than thirty languages.

Edgar Morin, is a French philosopher and sociologist. He too is a former member of the French resistance while he is also a fervent campaigner for environmental causes. He has written more than 60 books, which have been translated in more than 30 countries. His last work, The Path of Hope (Le Chemin de l'espérance), was co-written with Stéphane Hessel.

Michel Rocard was Prime Minister of France between 1988-91. He is a former First Secretary of the French Socialist Party and Member of the European Parliament. He has been actively involved in environmentalism for many years.

René Passet is a French economist specialising in development and is a known supporter of alternative globalisation.

Peter Sloterdijk is a German writer and philosopher and has written more than 30 works which have been widely translated abroad.

Mireille Delmas-Marty is a Professor at the Collège de France specialising in legal studies and the globalisation of law. She is the author of more than 20 reference books. She writes for numerous international revues and is a regularly invited to universities around the world.
