My First Murder and Other Stories (Mijn eerste moord en andere verhalen)

Original Language: Dutch | 180 pp. | October 2018

2 Seas Represents: World excl Dutch rights.

The collected stories in My first murder contains the wonderful novella A True Hero and a series of short stories, as well as a beautiful translation of Theodor Storm’s Aquis Submersus – a painfully romantic tale with a tragic outcome. Driessen’s shorter stories show in a concise form what the reader expects from him: carefully and strongly-built storylines expressed through magnificent language.

This varied collection of stories rounds up the image of Driessen as a modern author who has the ability to write with varying styles over timeless themes and tones.
