« The heart has its reasons, of which reason knows nothing » as Blaise Pascal famously said. It is true that love is a mysterious emotion, impossible to analyse logically. So how can we theorise about love? Loving, a Philosophy finds a way by describing love, by showing it not only as an inexplicable and sudden event, sometimes absurd, sometimes sublime, but also as an enduring sentiment. Love as an art-form, which allows the extraordinary meeting between two people who find their meaning in one another, to last.

Denis Faïck is a philosopher and lecturer. In particular, he has published two books on Rousseau, an essay on Oriental wisdom and one on the body. He is the author of two novels published at Fleuve Editions. He teaches yoga and self-defense.
